Our Mission
Through rigorous research, we seek to inform improvements to criminal justice policy and practice for underserved populations such as those with mental illness. A core focus of our work is to improve the experience of justice involved people by reducing stigma and understanding how the justice system may better serve these individuals. We strive to engage meaningfully with the community and justice agencies through our work.
Our Team
Our lab consists of undergraduate and graduate students affiliated with UTEP’s Department of Psychology under the direction of Dr. Jennifer Eno Louden.
